about me

Call me Luisa! I'm a bilingual writer who speaks Spanish and English, and I can also hold a conversation about futebol in Portuguese. I earned my BS in Psychology from the Universidad Arturo Michelena in Venezuela, my home country. My interest in behavior is backed up by a certificate from Instituto Terapéutico de Madrid (ITEMA, Spain) on Functional Analysis of Behavior and a Specialized Program in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) from Educa Psicología (Venezuela).

I started reading when I was 4 years old thanks to my grandparents' interest in local newspapers, and since then, I've had a life surrounded by words and culture. You can find my contributions in digital publications such as Her Agenda, Latino Leaders Magazine, Reader's Digest UK, Business Insider, or Mitú Magazine

Currently, I work as a Review Response Specialist for a startup in Vermont called Widewail. Alongside this work, I’m a Research Assistant at Dartmouth College, supporting a project focused on the lived experiences of Latin American migrants in the U.S.

I have also provided consultancy services in social media and outreach for the Center for Real Dialogue and I am the co-founder of Hermanas Vermont, a local socialization and networking group for Latinas in Vermont. Following my passion for marketing, I worked as a Temporary Event & Marketing Coordinator for the Church St. Marketplace and Love Burlington brands, and I completed an undergraduate certificate in Marketing at Champlain College Online. Considering my community-oriented work, I have been serving on the board of the Peace and Justice Center since October 2025.
